About Dr. Vandi Rimer:
Dr. Vandi Rimer completed her residency training at Omni Eye Specialists in ocular disease, refractive and ocular surgery. Once her residency was complete, she was hired at Spivack Vision Center where she stayed until Omni Eye Specialists and Spivack Vision Center merged in 2008. She became board-certified through the American Board of Optometry September 2013.
Vandi Wharton Rimer, O.D., graduated with honors from the University of Utah in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She then graduated with honors from Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon in 2003 where she received her doctor of optometry degree. During her education, Dr. Rimer completed a LASIK internship at the Eye Institute of Utah, a primary eye care and ocular disease management internship at Eyes of Arizona, a pediatrics, vision therapy and contact lens internship at Portland Clinic and an internship where she performed low-vision exams on children at Washington State School for the Blind. She completed her residency training at Omni Eye Specialists in ocular disease, refractive and ocular surgery. Once her residency was complete, she was hired at Spivack Vision Center where she stayed until Omni Eye Specialists and Spivack Vision Center merged in 2008.
She became board-certified through the American Board of Optometry September 2013. She has been an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor with Pacific University College of Optometry since August 2007. In late 2014 she became the Program Coordinator and supervisor of Omni Eye Specialists Residency in Ocular Disease, Refractive and Ocular Surgery. With widespread changes and leadership, the program became accredited through the Accreditation Counsel on Optometric Education in 2015.

Dr. Rimer enjoys being outdoors skiing in the winter and hiking during the summer, she loves food, cooking and traveling.
