About Jordan Birnbaum:

Jordan Birnbaum became a recognized leader in the field of applied behavioral science in 2017, when Compass, the leadership development product that he conceptualized and developed for ADP Ventures, won HR Tech’s Product of the Year.

Across hundreds of companies, thousands of leaders, and tens of thousands of employees, quarterly survey participation rates never dipped below 90%, 70% of coaching emails were either read or skimmed, and leader scores, as measured by their teams, improved on average 10%.

Jordan is currently Managing Director of Jordan Birnbaum Consulting, LLC, which uses applied behavioral science to drive learning and development for leaders, sales and marketing and product. JBC also provides behavioral audits on marketing collateral, consistently yielding double digit improvements. Clients include ADP, Alvaria, HGAN, Virta Health and Fertu.

Previously, Jordan was COO of BEESY, a behavioral-science-based market research firm, growing and onboarding a 50% increase in personnel growth.

Prior to ADP, Jordan was the owner/operator of The Vanguard in Los Angeles, a 2000+ capacity music and entertainment venue in Los Angeles. Clients included Disney, Dreamworks, Paramount, as well as the world premiere and first ever run of Rock of Ages. The Vanguard was voted the #4 music venue in the US by DJ Magazine in 2008.

Prior to Vanguard, Jordan was a founding employee and Senior Vice President of Juno Online Services, overseeing sales and business development. He managed more than forty people to an annual run rate of $44 million, at the time one of the highest in the industry. This led to a successful IPO and six consecutive quarters of beating analyst estimates before leaving to start Vanguard.

Jordan has an MA in Industrial / Organizational Psychology from NYU and a BS in Policy Analysis from Cornell University. He is the author of the popular blog, “The Uncertainty Principal” for Psychology Today.
