B’s Ballpark Museum Grand Opening

A glorious event occurred on Mon. evening, July 19, 2010. Bruce, “B” my husband, just had his VIP grand opening celebration of his “dream” … a ballpark museum. Bruce has collected baseball memorabilia for decades. His collection became a non-profit museum about 10 years ago. This unbelievable collection, recognized by the Smithsonian Baseball Book as one of the finest baseball collections in the US, was housed in our basement. My basement is now CLEAN and the museum has moved to its new home, right across from Coors Field-1940 Blake Street, Denver, CO.

We entertained over 100 VIPS-Denver City Officials, media (2 TV stations, 2 newspapers, 2 sports magazines and others).

If you are remotely interested in baseball or American history, make sure you visit the museum website at B’s Ballpark Museum.

Approximately 100 people from Author U attended the fun barbeque at Dr. Judith Briles house. Judith was the book shepherd (coach) for my book, See It. Say It. Do It! A book shepherd can assist a writer in the tightening of the writing to structuring your PR plan to market your book. Kudos to Judith for assisting me in creating

No Brain Left Behind

The next Learning and the Brain Conference takes place in Boston in Nov, 2010. I attended the Feb. 2010 conference. It was fascinating…a mix of researchers, therapists, teachers and physicians. Much of the research presented only confirmed the work we have been doing for more than 30 years in vision therapy.

Many of the recommended strategies for learning success came from a number of different speakers. They included visualization, relaxation and creative learning activities. Many of those types of strategies are included in my book, See It. Say It. Do It!

Sports Vision – “Putt Doctor” Local OD

Dr. Craig Farnsworth, friend and colleague who moved from Denver to CA, was featured in the Denver Post Sports Section this week. ”People have no clue about where they are aligned. It’s crazy, “Dr. Farnsworth says. ”And then they wonder why they aren’t making putts.”

Craig has a new book on vision and golf: The Putting Prescription. Learn about the power of good vision and vision therapy, as it impacts sports, especially golf. He includes visualization as one of the import skills for golfers. Yes, the same visualization concepts as included in my book, See It. Say It. Do It!

He’s worked with many professional golfers and includes some great golf tips in his article.
